In the early hours of the morning, the fool cradles herself in the night's blanket. He's there but he isn't. The fool feels him behind her but knows when she opens her eyes, the space next to her will be empty. Denial sets in, that feeling of a million 'what-if's', the knowledge of lack of knowledge.
