Modern Angel marked the end of Jade's Bachelors degree. The installation inviting viewer involvement with a small book posing the question 'what is an angel to you?' and giving small loving tokens to take home.

In her first Master's project, Jade explored themes of storytelling within her art, using her longtime love for the Greek myths as a foundation. She reflected on why some stories called to her more- and how she related to them and how they may be depicted in today's social climate.

In her second Master's project Jade explored her relationship with her body and a subsequent eating disorder. It was a very vulnerable, outward expression of a difficult period she faced. In doing so she hoped to raise awareness, to help others struggling feel seen and to encourage an open dialogue between those having similar experiences and people they trust.

In her final Masters project, Jade opted to return to the realm of myth and fantasy as a means of escape after the seriousness of the above project. In doing so she uncovered a deeper interest in mermaids, finding new folk tales surrounding women of water discovering just how deep their history runs.
